The Obama Dogma

It was not more than forty years before when the present USA was the hub for racism and atrocities towards black....why even the first black student, Dorothy Counts at Harry Herarding High School, to be joined to any school was not able to bear the harassment after four days and finally left the school....even the presence of a black in the vicinity of white house was not allowed, set apart being inside it. From that state to the present state where it has a black president is a great move in the history of the country and stands vividly not only as an example but as a beacon of hope for the millions of black still being ill-treated. But this achievement cannot be completely --------- to Mr. Barack Obama, this victory belongs to all those who sacrificed their lives for the cause of black uplift, starting from Martin King Luther, the famous Civil Right Leader to Rosa Parks, who refused to give up her seat for a white person. You can call them rebels, you can call them socialists but I prefer calling them revolutionaries who strived for their recognition and finally achieved their goal “EQUALITY”. And I strongly feel that other countries should at least give a try to emulate the same, if not try to be better than that. So, far we’ve been considering the basic difference this notion has made in the history of the world but considering the present scenario of global meltdown how is he going to help us out. Agreed that his motive of change was a real good one, but will he be really able to bring out that change in the total global system. His entry is analogues to the election after the 1933 meltdown when Roosevelt became the next president, let’s hope this situation does not become serious that the 1933 meltdown. And his proposal of withdrawal of troops from Iraq and Afghanistan, also invigorate the terror struck part of afore mentioned countries. If he was able to get the soldiers in the stipulated time of 16 months, then it’s really appreciable. Now, let’s get down to more serious topics, firstly the two countries that are on the other side of the globe: Russia and China. One, a long time enemy and the other a fast developing nation with a difference in opinion as far as the political system is considered. There were talks between Mr.Dmitry Medevdev and Mr. Jintao for the making the relations between the countries better than the presently existing nature. At least, I think with the advent of the democratic government in the United States should have an impact on the arms race between the countries. Now, let’s come to India, well well well, as far as i know we won’t be enjoying the same halcyon time that we had in Mr.Bush’s reign/ but this should not hinder the nuclear deal that is supposed to clear in a month’s time. The second point that worries me is the Kashmir issue, is Barack Obama ------ enough to interfere with an issue that wasn’t having a solution at any point of time in the past??? Maybe not....I feel he’s going to leave this issue to us and Pakistan to decide and we may take another, say two or more centuries before arriving at a conclusion. Long I have said so far and so I finally want to conclude this verbose by just adding that the Obamafication of America is going to give hope to the world to change the facet of America as an aggressive country and may advert the arms race for more time....TC....Byee

MAGNETO #3

Hii folks....first of all welcome to "the in thing" world, this blog is about the latest stuff going all around and a bit of my masala to complete the recipe. I wont waste much of your time in the intro to this blog so lets jump to the point in hand " MAGNETO #3". Well as the name indicates this is the sequel of the magneto series that has seen the sprouting talents of the young engineers. This event took place as one of the megaz in our college's ( NIT Jalandhar[ www.nitj.ac.in] ) techfest (TechNITi'08 [www.techniti.info]). Based on the mechanical designing of a robot capable of collecting the magnetic pucks hanging from the roof and placing them in their pits. Two teams will compete at the same time in the arena in a loosers quit criteria. The following pics descibe better the junta and the anticipation of the crowd.
